Common reasons to have implants

When a saline breast prosthesis ruptures, its contents, salt water, leaks from its silicone rubber bag into the surrounding tissue and is gradually absorbed harmlessly. At that point, the empty bag can be removed and possibly replaced. Breast augmentation by its nature as an introduced foreign body, requires periodic self examination, observation of changes, and when needed, removal or replacement.
